I just watched dirty dancing for the millionth time. It is in my top five movies. It makes me wonder if in real life baby and johnny are still together. Lol
Seriously though… i think movies have made realistic romance not good enough. Does anyone else feel that way? Has it set me up for unrealistic expectations? Or am i in the minority? Is it enough to trust love warts and all? Is having a soul mate overrated?

Definitely! Movies should have a warning like, “for entertainment purposes only” too many of us have these fantasy views of romance. Yes, I love love and I believe in soul mates but movies do create this over the top vision of how things should look 😉
I loved Dirty Dancing, but yeah, definitely not realistic.
I think love is overly romanticized. There is such a high expectation for the perfect romance. They are no way attainable. Who knows maybe for someone they are, but not in my relationship. I want the fun, consoling type. I don’t have one of those. LOL
