One day hell one moment at a time

I’m trying to stay strong. I just dislike myself so much. I want to list the things I’m hating right now but I’m going to turn it to positives and things I like.

I’m caring.

I make an awesome chicken enchiladas

I like my eyes

Hmmm this is tough right now. I’ll think some more on it and if I get a list I’ll share. I really appreciate you all! Keep up the good fight.

  1. I like my eyes to, there brown and green and change colour with my mood. Also they don’t get fat like the rest of me and have looked the same for 20 years. Eyes is a good place to start, but I know from your previous posts you have a good heart to. Take care D.

When I was in this partial hospitalization program and they were trying to help build people’s self-esteem, one thing they told me since I said I liked the color of my eyes was to try little things that enhance what I already like until I can learn to add more to the list. As an example, I love the eye color (and that’s about it) but I also like how my eyes look in some light eyeliner and mascara. So, I put some on and was able to add that to the list. It sounds tedious but it did help me a bit while I was there. They also told me to write “I am beautiful” on my mirror in lipstick and they told me to read it every time I passed that mirror. I felt ridiculous at first, but I think they were on to something there. I am not sure if any of this is useful to you but I just wanted to lend you some encouragement.
