Pms

Posted on

Ok so second month in a row PMS has really spun me out. I’m thinking I need to speak to a doctor about my hormone levels. Do you think that would do any good? What kind of Dr would that be?

Go will refer you to someone if necessary but they should be able to help by drawing labs which would show your hormone levels. I think. 🙂

GP, OB or Endo should all be fine to get started. If the standard protocols don’t work well, Endo and OB are more specialized usually.

talk to a gynacologist. I have often thought I was going into early menopause (I have no idea when this happens in my family because everyone has had hystorechtomies) but my family doctor said she wouldn’t check my hormones because they flucuate to often and there would be no “true” reading. BUT…. A gyn knows more in this area. I know my daughter got some hormone testing done and she has too much estrogen so she can’t take birthcontrol because it quite literally makes her insane. I would definitely check with a gyno.

I’d start with GP and they can refer you to the right specialist.

I get spun out over PMS too. Try b-vitamins and healthy fats?
