Melancholy

Posted on

I feel melancholy today. My mind is full of dread and I’m not sure why. It’s not depression just a sadness that my life isn’t more but I know I whine about it a lot. How do I get it to more? Do I stay in my comfort zone or take chances?

Take a chance! Always. Remove comfort.

Life is so short in the grand scheme of things. Our life is just like a speck of sand in time. It is too short to NOT takes chances. Its too short NOT to live it to its fullest. If you are not fully happy, then find it!

I am looking for that answer myself. I think we have to be open to new things, do things we wouldn’t normally do, but not out of our comfort zone… not yet anyhow OR maybe once in awhile. Baby steps. One new thing at a time. Start off maybe one new thing a month. Then work your way to one new thing every two weeks. Then every week. Maybe we will find a new comfort zone?

It takes courage to take a chance….and the choice is to do just that or stay within the confines of comfort.
    I personally choose the latter.

Can you tell more about how you feel?

Cuz in a lot of ways I have also been having this kind of feeling, even when I have everything I could wish for AH MA.
I had this empty kind of feeling in my heart. Since then I have been focusing on doing good and bringing good so that it soothes me and brings peace to my heart. And believe me it has!
I have been trying to get a better connection to The one and only God, Allah. And it has brought me so much comfort that you can’t imagine. Cuz somewhere I heard that the soul, the spirit is dies not need the luxuries or any worldly things but it needs to connect with the Lord, the creator, the sustainer. It works for our soul the way we need food to keep living. Try doing that. Allah is the best.
