I am the face of mental illness

I decided to do some self care today and delve into some free samples of make up I got a few weeks back. Here are the results.

These eyes hide the pain and torment I often feel from the outside world.

This smile hides years of self doubt and fear.

Yet I still move forward. I take two steps forward one back but I’m moving forward.

I am the face of mental illness. Specifically… Bipolar, borderline personality disorder, and binge eating. Thank you for following my journey.

  1. I get what you mean when you say you’re the face of mental illness but I think you’re actually the face of much more: a wonderful mother, a strong survivor, a complex, beautiful, valuable (and valued) woman. Mental illness can’t compare with those (though I know most of the time it feels like it overshadows all of that). Anyway I just had to say it! Xx
