slight bump

Posted on

My son ran a fever this afternoon and it had me slightly worried. After two hours of calling around the surgeon called me directly. He said with no other symptoms like a stiff neck or discharge from incision he is fine but if fever gets to 101.5 then take him to er. It was 100.9. I would have already taken him to er but we are in the middle of an ice storm and well driving in the weather sounded more dangerous then the fever. So please pray for him and for me my anxiety has been high when I lie down to sleep. And sleep is my only refuge. Thank you!

Oh great. I am sure that rests your mind some. That’s good news.

Children are resilient. I don’t know what kind of drugs he might be on but you can always lower his fever by putting cool compresses on his pressure points, such as under his arms an on his groin. Check for redness and warmth around the site and of course, like the doctor said…any discharge.
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery and some restful sleep for you! 🙂
