I’m here

Posted on

I made it through my first day back. I feel numb about it. I’m not sure that’s a good thing. I am tempted to put in my two weeks notice and tell my husband I got fired but that’d be wrong right? If it was up to just me I would but I think he might divorce me if I quit. Financially we can’t afford it. I’m sorry it’s always the same thing but it’s all consuming.

I think you should keep looking for a new job! Then quit when you find one sweetie.

i’m sorry things are tough right now. You shouldnt worry about what hubby will say or think. You need to look after you and if that means giving up work for now then thats what you just need to do. xxx

That really sucks. You should definitely be honest with the hubby. How is the job search going ?

no apologies necessary. this is a problem for everyone. i don’t think anyone is “happy” at their job, i mean, it’s a job. i also think when we are depressed, it just makes doing something that much harder – whether we want to do it or not. I do regret quitting my job, though it was about 80 hours a week. Still, they were offering to make accommodations to keep me there so I could do my work but have the time and space I needed to stay healthy. At that point I was too sick. I don’t know what you do, but have you been doing it for awhile? I forget if this is a job you just started? If you’ve been around, it means you have knowledge and they don’t have to retrain. Do you think it would be worth telling them that you need to have certain accommodations if you are going to continue? And then, maybe if you get that, you will have the space to also look for work. Brainstorming here…
